Lee Madden Appointed new Chamber President
We are delighted to share the news that Lee Madden was appointed to serve the next three years as President of the Jersey Chamber of Commerce.
Huge gratitude to Adam Budworth for three years as President and his Vice-President Daphne East for the incredible support and leadership they gave to Chamber.
Congratulations to Lee and welcome back to past-President Eliot Lincoln who will support as Vice President.
In a statement, Lee expressed enthusiasm for the new role, highlighting a background in strategic planning, business development, and community engagement as key assets for the Chamber's continued progress. "I can bring this experience and add to that already in the Chamber ranks," he remarked. A clear focus on positivity and an "attitude of enablement rather than complication and regulation in business matters" was also emphasized.
The Jersey Chamber of Commerce stands as the island's largest independent business membership group, dedicated to advocating for businesses of all sizes and industries. Its core mission involves amplifying members' voices within the government through dedicated committees and robust lobbying efforts, all aimed at fostering trade and bolstering Jersey's prosperity.
With a remarkable 255-year history, the Chamber's members have played a pivotal role in shaping Jersey's business landscape, successfully blending tradition with a forward-looking vision. The organization is committed to upholding its esteemed reputation, believing that its "unwavering voice will pave the way for continued growth and fresh trade prospects."
Lee underscored the power of unity among members, stating that their collective voice "resonates with decision-makers." The Chamber's diverse membership and committees, comprising "some of the most exceptional business minds on the island," are poised to navigate change and capitalize on new business opportunities for the community.
Beyond advocacy, the Jersey Chamber of Commerce is renowned for its highly attended networking events, including critical briefings and Chamber Lunches. These gatherings serve as crucial platforms for the local business community to engage, connect, and forge valuable relationships. "I look forward to welcoming members new and old to Chamber and our events," New President Lee Madden concluded, inviting businesses to join for "unparalleled networking opportunities and meaningful dialogues."
