Daniel Moon Appointed Chair of Chamber Digital Business Committee
Chamber Digital Business Committee is pleased to announce the appointment of Daniel Moon as its new Chair. Dan, a seasoned professional with over a decade of experience in the digital industry, takes the helm from Eliot Lincoln, who transitions into the role of Chamber Vice President.
The Digital Business Committee plays a crucial role in advocating for and representing the interests of Jersey's business community in the realm of digital innovation. It serves as a hub for thought leadership, fostering debate and actively working to maximize the economic growth of the island’s expanding digital sector. A key priority for the committee is to articulate the views of the predominantly SME business community, championing the value of digital innovation and promoting a deeper understanding of this dynamic sector's significant contribution to the island's economic prosperity.
Daniel Moon, a proud Jerseyman, brings a wealth of expertise to his new position. His background is primarily in telecommunications, where he specialized in delivering technical and transformative change. Dan's educational journey, which saw him complete an IT for Business Foundation Degree at Highlands and an Honours Degree in Computing from Plymouth University while remaining on the island, exemplifies a unique approach to higher education. This path strongly aligns with the Digital Committee's commitment to developing a robust and "right-fit" digital curriculum for Jersey.
Dan recently moved from a successful tenure at JT to Island Energy Group, where he holds the position of Head of New Ventures. In this role, he will directly contribute to the energy transition and efforts to reduce the carbon footprint across Jersey, Guernsey, and the Isle of Man.
Outside of his professional life, Dan is a new father, a role he is enthusiastically embracing. When he's not mountain biking or playing padel tennis, he cherishes spending time with his young family, particularly enjoying the island's beaches.
