Chamber Secures Seat at New Freight Forum
The Jersey Chamber of Commerce has welcomed confirmation that it will hold a seat on the newly established Freight Forum, strengthening the voice of business in shaping the Island’s future freight and connectivity arrangements.
The Freight Forum will bring together key stakeholders to focus on practical solutions, long term resilience and collaborative working across Jersey’s freight and supply chain. Chamber’s involvement ensures that the views and experiences of its diverse membership, from retailers and construction firms to exporters and logistics providers, are represented at the table.
The Chamber sees the Forum as an important opportunity to move the conversation forward, focusing on reliability, affordability and future capacity, while supporting economic confidence and business planning across the Island.
By working constructively with Government, operators and industry partners, Chamber looks forward to contributing to a shared, evidence-based approach that supports Jersey’s economy both now and into the future.
Lee Madden, President of Jersey Chamber of Commerce, said, “Securing a seat at the Freight Forum is a positive step. It gives business a direct voice in shaping the long-term direction of freight services, and reflects the value of collaboration, engagement and looking ahead rather than back.”
The Chamber will continue to engage closely with its members to ensure their priorities and concerns help inform the Forum’s work and future decision making.
