CHAMBER APPOINTS CLAIRE REYNARD AS NEW CHAIR OF EMPLOYMENT AND SKILLS COMMITTEE

The Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the appointment of Claire Reynard as the new Chair of the Chamber Employment and Skills Committee. The announcement was officially made at the Chamber’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Tuesday, 23 June.

Ms. Reynard, who currently serves as the Group Human Resources Manager at Seymour Hotels, brings over 20 years of specialized HR experience within the hospitality industry to the role. In her capacity at Seymour Hotels, she leads the group’s overarching people strategy, overseeing crucial areas including recruitment, learning and development, employee engagement, and organizational development.

Under her HR leadership, Seymour Hotels has achieved notable acclaim for its workplace environment, securing the title of Jersey's Best Workplace – Large Enterprise 2024 as well as the Jersey's Best Workplace 2025 Wellbeing Spotlight Award.

Ms. Reynard has a proven track record of regional committee leadership, having previously served as a Board Member of the Jersey Hospitality Association (JHA) and as a member of the CIPD Jersey Committee. In these roles, she actively championed initiatives to elevate professional standards, employment frameworks, and skills development.

A strong advocate for local talent pipelines, Ms. Reynard frequently collaborates with educational institutions and employment bodies—including local schools, Highlands College, Skills Jersey, and the Jersey Employment Trust (JET)—to promote apprenticeships, skills building, and industry careers.

"Claire’s extensive experience in fostering positive workplace cultures and her deep commitment to workforce development make her uniquely qualified to lead this vital committee," said a Chamber spokesperson. "As businesses continue to navigate shifting employment landscapes, her expertise will be instrumental in driving the Chamber’s skills and employment strategies forward."
