Employment and Skills

The Employment & Skills Committee acts in a consultative capacity with a number of private and government bodies during the course of the year to ensure Members have a view.

This active committee has consulted upon, provided insights and ran sessions on anti discrimination laws, changes to the main employment law, minimum wage, and the tribunal procedures. The committee is made up from volunteers with varied HR backgrounds so that businesses of different industry sectors can be represented.

Anna is bringing a wealth of experience in business leadership and Human Resources Management. As the Founder and Managing Director of Virtual HR, Anna specialises in advising and supporting businesses across a diverse range of sectors, including hospitality, finance, digital, retail, construction, and more.

With a strong operational background and a passion for effective people management, Anna offers expert consultancy, advice, and hands-on support. She holds a Diploma in Human Resources Management and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD). Her contributions to the HR field have earned her recognition, including a shortlist for the CIPD Jersey Branch award for Outstanding HR Professional of the Year and nominations for the IoD Director of the Year awards in 2022 and 2023.

Anna offers commercial insight and an approachable style, combined with a dedication to supporting businesses in Jersey. She is delighted to be leading the knowledgeable team on the Employment and Skills Committee.
