Chief Executive Reports on Second Six Months

Jan 24, 2019

States Chief Executive, Charlie Parker, has today circulated to all States Members a report of his second six months in post, as part of his commitment to make the public service more transparent and accountable.

The report includes updates on the work underway to tackle legacy issues, progress towards creating One Government and establishing a Team Jersey culture programme, the restructuring of government departments, office, finance and digital modernisation programmes, and changes to management, governance and accountability arrangements.

Mr Parker said: “My second report to States Members provides evidence of how far we’ve come over the last year and what we still have to do if we’re to modernise the public service for islanders and fully implement the One Government programme, in order to deliver great public services.”

The report by the Chief Executive is a voluntary initiative, which aims to provide more understanding of his role, the priorities on which he has been working, and the issues that still need addressing.
