Managing workplace stress: A practical guide for employers

Event details
Employers have a legal duty to protect employees from stress at work. The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development reports that stress is the fourth most common cause of short and long term absence. And in 2023 Statistics Jersey reported that stress accounted for almost 68% of work-related ill health claims for short term incapacity allowance. With recent case law looking at whether stress was a disability and considering an employer's potential liability for psychological harm, it may be time for a review of your wellbeing policies or a refresher on best practice when it comes to dealing with stress in the workplace.
Join Bedell Cristin's Employment team for a practical lunchtime briefing exploring how managers can effectively manage absence, identify workplace stress risks and respond confidently to evolving regulatory expectations.
