Sure by Beyon begins network upgrades ahead of 5G launch

Sure by Beyon has taken the next step in its ongoing investment to deliver next-generation connectivity for its customers in Jersey,as upgrades begin at mobile sites across the island to prepare for 5G. 

Sure is investing £48 m across the Channel Islands and Isle of Man to build a world-class 5G network that will bring faster speeds stronger coverage and greater reliability for customers.

Ahead of the launch of 5G services next year, Sure’s engineers and specialist contractors will be upgrading 18 existing sites throughout November and December with the latest equipment from Sure’s global technology partner Ericsson.

Sure’s new 5G standalone network — the most advanced form of 5G — will set a new benchmark for mobile connectivity, delivering faster speeds, more reliable connections and a seamless experience for work, entertainment, learning and more, wherever customers are.
