New scheme is being launched by the Government of Jersey

The new scheme is being launched by the Government of Jersey, through its Building a Safer Community (BASC) initiative, called Safe Places.

 

About Safe Places:

Briefly, the Safe Places Scheme is a community-driven effort to create a network of safe, welcoming locations across the Island for anyone feeling vulnerable, intimidated, or at risk (venues in all parishes welcome).

 

People can then identify those locations which are a Safe Place (once they have registered their interest and completed a short training video, which is being finalised) either on the Safe Places app and through a colourful door sticker we’ll ask registered businesses/organisations to display, once they have completed their training via the video.
