Loganair launches new direct service to Bordeaux for summer 2026

Loganair, the UK’s leading regional airline, is set to further enhance Jersey’s connectivity to mainland Europe with the introduction of a new direct route to Bordeaux, launching this summer.

The new service will operate twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays from 19 June through to 5 October, offering convenient access to one of France’s most celebrated regions for food, wine and culture. One-way fares will start from £79.99 from Jersey to Bordeaux and €89.99 from Bordeaux to Jersey.

The addition of Bordeaux forms part of Loganair’s continued commitment to strengthening connectivity from Jersey, providing customers with a broader range of direct leisure and business travel options.

Alongside the new route, the airline will also operate several seasonal connections from Jersey, including flights to Norwich, East Midlands, and Paris Charles de Gaulle, further enhancing links between the Channel Islands, the UK and Europe throughout the summer months.

Ronnie Matheson, chief commercial officer at Loganair, said: “Bordeaux is a fantastic addition to our Jersey schedule for summer 2026, offering customers a direct gateway to one of France’s most popular regions. Whether travelling for a long weekend or an extended break, this new route provides a convenient and enjoyable way to explore everything the area has to offer.

“We remain committed to enhancing connectivity for Jersey, and this latest addition, alongside our wider network of seasonal services, ensures customers have even greater choice when planning their summer travel.”

Matt Thomas, Chief Executive Officer at Ports of Jersey, commented:

“The introduction of direct flights to Bordeaux marks an exciting step forward for Jersey’s European connectivity. Alongside our popular Paris service, this twice-weekly route provides Islanders with greater flexibility for travel to the south of France, while also opening Jersey to a wider catchment of more than one million people living in the Bordeaux and Nouvelle-Aquitaine region.

This represents a valuable opportunity for both inbound tourism and outbound travel. We’re pleased to continue working closely with Loganair as they further build their presence and long-term investment in Jersey.”

Simon Dreschel, Bordeaux Airport CEO, said:

"The launch of this route to Jersey and the arrival of a new airline on our tarmac enriches the diversity of our network with a destination that is both unique and refreshingly different. This route also represents a valuable opportunity for inbound tourism, by attracting British travellers who particularly enjoy the region’s way of life, gastronomy and the wine tourism offering."

Bordeaux, located in the heart of France’s renowned wine region, is celebrated for its vineyards, historic architecture and vibrant cultural scene, making it an ideal destination for summer travel.
