Jersey Chamber of Commerce Launches Future Economy & Next Gen Leaders Committee, Appointing Gaëlle Deschamps as Chair

The Jersey Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the launch of its brand-new Future Economy & Next Gen Leaders Committee, established in September 2026. Bringing together a diverse coalition of business leaders, entrepreneurs, educators, and next-generation voices, the committee shares a bold ambition: to help shape Jersey’s future economy while attracting, retaining, and developing the Next Gen leaders who will drive it.

A Vision Toward 2036

With a long-term strategic horizon looking toward 2036, the Committee will explore how Jersey can build a more innovative, inclusive, and future-ready economy. A defining priority will be ensuring the island can successfully attract, nurture, and retain the next generation of young talent—creating exciting career opportunities that give young people strong reasons to build their futures on-island.

Central to the committee’s mission is an unwavering commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I). The group will apply a strong DE&I lens to all its initiatives, championing social mobility and working to ensure opportunities remain accessible to all young people and young adults, regardless of their background or career pathways. The committee firmly believes that Jersey’s future prosperity depends on widening access to opportunity and enabling diverse talent to thrive.
