THE FOUR ROLES 

Chairperson - VISION & LEADERSHIP 

Chair Association and Company board meetings Public voice with media, government and outside bodies Build a sustainable funding model with the Finance Director Recruit and lead the board and committee Needs: leadership, contacts, people management 

Finance Director - FUNDING THE FUTURE 

Supervise Association and Company finances Keep accounts, budgets and variance reporting Build the funding model — grants, trusts, donors Ensure charity law and governance compliance Needs: QuickBooks/Excel, reporting, finance contacts 

Vice-Chair - SHADOW & SUCCEED 

Shadow the Chairperson and deputise as required Share representation and decision-making duties Has — or is building — the Chairperson's skill set A natural route into the Chair in future years Needs: enthusiasm, reliability, willingness to learn 

Secretary - KEEPING IT ALL TOGETHER 

Minutes and agendas for all meetings Maintain the Association membership list Handle external correspondence for both entities Keep regulatory records and statutory reporting Needs: organised, thorough, confident with MS Office 

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR 

A love of Battle. Good working knowledge and real enthusiasm for its future — but not currently building a float or active in a member club, so the board stays independent. Interested?
