Darren Scott Appointed as Vice President of Jersey Chamber of Commerce

The Jersey Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the appointment of Darren Scott as its newest Vice President. Darren, currently the CEO of The Ferryspeed Group, joins the leadership team at a pivotal time for the island's business community.

He will serve alongside current Vice President Eliot Lincoln in a dual-VP capacity until the Chamber’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) in May 2026.

A Wealth of Local Expertise

Darren brings an extensive background spanning both the public and private sectors. In his current role at Ferryspeed, he oversees critical freight links between the Channel Islands and the UK, ensuring essential supply chain resilience for Jersey and Guernsey.

His previous experience is deeply rooted in the island’s economic and political infrastructure, including:

  • Ports of Jersey: Served as Chief of Staff, managing government relations and strategic development.

  • Government of Jersey: Held senior roles as Director of Partnerships (overseeing States-owned entities) and Director of Economic Development, Tourism, Sport, and Culture.

  • Policy & Scrutiny: Served as a Government and Scrutiny Officer, providing him with a nuanced understanding of Jersey’s legislative and political landscape.

Supporting Jersey’s Business Interests

In his new role, Darren will work closely with Chamber President Lee Madden, CEO Murray Norton, the Executive team, and various committees. His unique blend of commercial insight and political experience will be instrumental in representing the diverse interests of the Chamber’s members.

Lee Madden, President of the Jersey Chamber of Commerce, is delighted with the appointment, commenting: "Darren’s deep understanding of how government and scrutiny work, paired with his leadership in the private sector, makes him an invaluable asset to our team."
