Cherry Godfrey Group acquires Mawson Collins to launch Cherry Godfrey Property

Cherry Godfrey Group has announced the acquisition of Mawson Collins, a highly respected and well-established Guernsey estate agency and property management business, marking a significant milestone in the Group’s growth and the formal launch of Cherry Godfrey Property.

The acquisition brings together two strong local businesses and represents a strategic investment in Guernsey, strengthening Cherry Godfrey Group’s offering across finance, insurance, mortgages, and now property services.

Property had already been identified as a natural next step for Cherry Godfrey Group. By acquiring an established local business with deep market knowledge and a strong reputation, the Group is able to accelerate the launch of Cherry Godfrey Property while building on proven expertise, rather than starting from scratch.

Mawson Collins will continue to operate from its existing offices, now as Cherry Godfrey Property, with the same team and leadership in place. There will be no disruption to clients, services, or ongoing work, and existing relationships will remain unchanged.

Tanzy Cherry, Chief Operating Officer of Cherry Godfrey Group, said:

Property has long been a natural extension of what we already do at Cherry Godfrey Group. We support people through financing, insuring and protecting their homes, so this next step makes complete sense. Mawson Collins is a business we greatly respect, with strong values, a talented team and an excellent local reputation. Bringing the two businesses together allows us to deliver our plans for Cherry Godfrey Property in a way that is established, credible and firmly rooted in Guernsey.”

Mike Collins, Managing Director of Mawson Collins (now Group Director of Property at Cherry Godfrey) added:

This is a very positive step for the business. Becoming part of Cherry Godfrey Group gives us additional backing and support, while allowing us to continue operating as we do today. Our clients will continue to work with the same people, from the same offices, with the same level of service they expect from us. We see this as an exciting opportunity to strengthen the business for the long term.”

This acquisition brings together strong local presence and expertise, while benefiting from shared investment and resources to support long-term growth and resilience. As part of this next phase, they will continue to invest in its people and capability, creating opportunities to grow the team and business in Guernsey. It reflects Cherry Godfrey Group’s continued commitment to investing in local businesses, people and communities and reinforces its position as a trusted, independent Guernsey-based group.
