BDO Jersey Announces Launch of 2026 Chris Stuart Bursary

BDO Jersey has announced the opening for applications of the Chris Start Bursary for 2026. The bursary scheme was initially established in 2024 to honour the legacy of Chris Stuart, former head of Audit and a valued leader at BDO Jersey and aims to support local students through financial aid and professional development opportunities.

The bursary scheme provides £15,000 over three years, including paid placements and mentoring at BDO Jersey, emphasizing support beyond financial aid. The bursary commemorates Chris Stuart’s dedication to mentoring young talent and embodies his commitment to growth and development.

Alison Dryland, Group People Director of BDO Jersey, commented: “We are honoured to continue Chris Stuart’s legacy through this bursary. Chris was deeply committed to nurturing the next generation of talent and this bursary is a testament to his values. We are excited to once again offer this opportunity to students who share his passion for growth and development.”

BDO received a large number of applications from high calibre local students with a shortlist of finalists invited to interview. The inaugural Chris Stuart Bursary was ultimately awarded to Arthur Tobin, a Hautlieu School alumnus with outstanding A-Level results and diverse work experience.
