ArtHouse Jersey is bringing a spectacular new public art installation to the heart of St Helier.

Next week ArtHouse Jersey is bringing a spectacular new public art installation to the heart of St Helier. Entitled ‘Bubbletecture’, this immersive artwork will transform the footprint of IFC2 on the Esplanade into a glowing, playful wonderland for all to enjoy from Thursday 28 August to Sunday 14 September 2025. The project is delivered in partnership with the Jersey Development Company and sponsored by Butterfield. You can find out more here via our website and I have attached the weekend programme of events along with a couple of images.

The centrepiece of this free, family-friendly experience is a dazzling arrangement of 8-metre-high iridescent spheres, or ‘bubbles’ - designed by award-winning Sydney-based artists Atelier Sisu. Titled Evanescent, the artwork responds to sunlight throughout the day, scattering rainbow reflections across the ground and inviting visitors to lose themselves in its shimmering beauty. Paired with a bespoke soundtrack and magical lighting effects that run from 9:30am to 9:30pm, Bubbletecture is designed to captivate people of all ages and backgrounds.

The Bubbletecture art installation will sit within a specially designed outdoor environment on the yet to be developed IFC2 site, creating a temporary green space in the middle of St Helier, just two minutes walk from Liberation Station. As well as admiring the installation, visitors will be able to take part in a diverse line-up of free cultural and wellbeing events each weekend including yoga, DJ's and Arts & Crafts.

The installation will be open around the clock, free to the public and entirely unticketed, with security and support staff on site throughout the exhibition period. Every detail, from on-site wayfinding to accessibility measures, has been designed to make the experience welcoming and easy to enjoy.
