New Chair Appointed for Building, Housing and Environment Committee
Mike Osborne, Managing Director of Ronez, a leading quarrying and building materials supplier in the Channel Islands, has been appointed Chair of the Jersey Chamber of Commerce's Building, Housing & Environment Committee.
With over 40 years of experience in potentially hazardous industries, including underground mining operations in the southern hemisphere and leading quarrying businesses in central Europe, Mike brings a wealth of knowledge and a strong focus on safety and operational excellence to the role. His in-depth understanding of the construction sector, particularly in relation to building materials, sustainability, and environmental impact, will be invaluable to the committee's work.
As Managing Director of Ronez, a company with a 150-year history in the Channel Islands, Mike has a strong understanding of the local market and the challenges facing businesses in the construction sector. He is passionate about promoting sustainable business practices and developing low-carbon building materials, aligning perfectly with Jersey's environmental goals.
