Recruitment for Chairperson of the Jersey Police Authority

Jersey Police Authority (JPA) are looking for Islanders who are seeking an opportunity to serve their community and make a difference to the Island.

Due to some existing members having reached the end of their term of office, they are seeking to appoint a Chairperson and new members.

Being a member of the JPA is one of the most important ‘oversight’ roles in Jersey public life, overseeing and influencing a diverse Police Service, on behalf of the Minister for Home Affairs.

The JPA is an independent body consisting of a Chairperson and up to 6 members with responsibility for ensuring that the States of Jersey Police continues to be an efficient and effective police force. 

This is a rewarding opportunity for those Islanders with an interest in the activities and objectives of the States of Jersey Police. You must be of good character and integrity and be able to discharge duties to the highest standards of conduct and ethics. 

Appointed by the Minister for Home Affairs, these are voluntary positions for a term of office of four years. JPA are seeking individuals who reflect the diverse range of backgrounds in the Island.
