Jersey Library are Launching Regular Therapy Dog Sessions to Boost Islanders’ Wellbeing

•    The therapy dogs are part of the Library’s Health and Wellbeing Offer, which also includes offering mental health and wellbeing books through the Reading Well and Reading Well for Teens in partnership with the Reading Agency.

•    The visits are part of a partnership between Jersey Library and Therapy Dogs Nationwide. Jersey Library will host the sessions, while the dogs are owned by a Therapy Dogs Nationwide volunteer.

•    All dogs are temperament tested before becoming therapy dogs.

•    The sessions designed to help combat loneliness, reduce stress and anxiety, and boost visitors’ mood. 

•    The sessions are free of charge, and are open to all members of the public.

The first session will take place on Thursday 23 February between 10.30am – 11.30am
