The meeting was hosted by the Minister for Infrastructure, Deputy Tom Binet. The Minister for Housing and Communities, Deputy David Warr, and the Minister for the Environment, Deputy Jonathan Renouf also took part, along with officers from the Infrastructure, Housing and Environment department, and representatives of Andium Homes and Jersey Water.

Residents were given an update on current work which is considering how to manage flood water in this area: including:

Around 100 residents and business owners attended the event and took part in a Q&A session. Ministers and officers are grateful for their valuable feedback, which will be incorporated as the plans are developed.

The Government has committed to keep residents and business owners informed throughout the process and plan to hold further meetings with the residents to continue to keep channels of communication open.

Infrastructure Minister Deputy Tom Binet said: “I would like to take the opportunity to thank those who attended last night and shared their experiences. It’s important for us to maintain a dialogue with the Grands Vaux residents and I would urge everyone to get in touch and sign up for the email distribution list by emailing [email protected].”
