Tuesday update from Chamber

In Chamber news, we continued today talking to Government, our good friends in the Parish of St Helier, The Economic Affairs Scrutiny Panel and several businesses in hospitality and in estate agency work.

There are still concerns on some of the changes to the co-funding on reduced thresholds on the monthly salary and self-employed co-funding limits. Also seeking clarity on applying for an exemption to the 20% employer funding, due to contractual reductions arising from hour or pay rate negotiations. We do have excellent staff in Government working on our questions and we will get these and other questions over to them to resolve the queries as quickly as we can.


Vital equipment delivered to support patient care

Jersey’s General Hospital has received a delivery of more than 100 items of medical equipment to support patient’s oxygen levels and breathing in the event of complications arising from COVID-19:

Jersey Fire and Rescue Service to carry out essential training exercises at Jersey Prison

The Jersey Fire and Rescue Service will be carrying out a number of essential training exercises from Wednesday 29 April – Saturday 2 May at La Moye Prison.

Children and young people having a voice in the pandemic

Children and young people in Jersey are being encouraged to complete a survey to share their thoughts and feelings about the coronavirus pandemic.
