Jersey Business - COVID-19 Winter Strategy

Dec 07, 2020

Guidance on Jersey's COVID-19 Winter Strategy With the increased challenges that winter brings the government of Jersey have introduced a new strategy to protect islanders from the effects of COVID-19. Their objective is to keep the disease rates low whilst minimising the impact on life and work in the island.

The guidance includes information on the hospitality circuit break, businesses that must now close, 2m physical distancing measures and working from home.

Face coverings Additional legislation was introduced this week on the mandatory wearing of face coverings in indoor public settings. The regulations require employees to wear a face covering and the general public must wear masks.

Remote working toolkit The most recent restrictions require you to work from home wherever possible so you must revisit how your workplace is operating and how to manage your team remotely. We have developed a comprehensive toolkit for businesses, providing guidelines, downloads and inspiring case studies to help you shape the best remote working solution for your business.

Payroll co-funding scheme The scheme will change for December claims (made in January 2021) and once we have further details we will let you know.
