Covid 19 Retail Sales Impact Data

Oct 07, 2020

Jersey Business are seeking some anonymised retail sales data that can give us all a clear indication of the short term impact to sales that the Covid 19 pandemic has created. Importantly this data will also show if or how businesses are starting to recover.

This data is essential as an indicator of the possible longer term effects to our industry, and can be used to support Jersey Business discussions with government as we work together to plan our island’s economic recovery.

This questionnaire is created and hosted by Jersey Business, and will enable us to collect your information anonymously for the year so far. You will not have to input sales information, the survey only asks for a sales % for 2020 Vs 2019 including a + or – for each month from January through to September, and if you have that information ready it only takes 3 minutes to fill in. You will also be given the option to add additional comments to the form should you wish. If you are a pure food retailer, like a supermarket or wholesale food please fill in the food survey, for all other stores please fill out the non food survey:

With survey responses its essential to have a large amount of replies, so that an overview of the industry is evident. As such I cannot stress enough how valuable and greatly appreciated your input into this is.

Should your business not be familiar with the calculations requested on the form, or any other aspect of the questionnaire, then please do not hesitate to contact Lorie Rault at Jersey Business who will assist with this.
