Coronavirus: Assistance from Island utility companies

Mar 27, 2020

Following meetings with representatives of Jersey’s utility companies, the Government has issued updated guidance for Islanders.

Utility companies have agreed that they will be as flexible as possible with payment terms for all customers.

Individuals and businesses who are concerned that they will not be able to pay their utility bills, due to the impact of coronavirus, are recommended to contact their utility provider(s) to discuss their individual circumstances, which will be dealt with on case by case basis. There is currently no formal agreement to defer payments of bills.

Islanders are asked to exercise patience with utility providers when contacting them directly, as they have indicated they are receiving a high volume of calls and emails at present.
