Chief Minister appoints new Assistant Minister

Sep 07, 2020

The Chief Minister, Senator John le Fondré, has decided to appoint St Peter’s Deputy Rowland Huelin as an Assistant Minister, following the decision by Connétable Christopher Taylor to step down from the role.

Deputy Huelin, who was a member of the Migration Policy Development Board, will be taking on the responsibilities that Connétable Taylor had. He will attend the Housing and Work Advisory Group and take the lead on migration and other matters.

Deputy Huelin was elected Deputy of St. Peter and sworn to office on 1 June 2018. Since his election Deputy Huelin has been a member of the Planning Committee, the Children, Education and Home Affairs Scrutiny Panel and the Public Accounts Committee.

This appointment will be effective from the end of this week.
