Would you like to help shape Jersey’s employment law?
The Employment Forum has 4 vacancies. If you have an interest in employment law, particularly in relation to the minimum wage, and if can work collaboratively in reaching a decision, we would like to hear from you.
We are seeking Forum members who can be:
Employee representative member – experience of employee issues in the workplace as an employee or as a member of a trade union or staff association, or
- Employee representative member – experience from an employer’s perspective, e.g. as a business owner, human resources professional or a member of an employer’s association or trade body, or
- Independent member – experience from an objective and independent perspective, e.g. with an understanding of employment law, economics, statistics or the labour market.
We are also seeking a new Chair, to lead the Forum, consulting with the public and representative groups and making recommendations to the Minister for Social Security on employment legislation.
The Forum is an independent body. Meetings are held once per month on average. Members are appointed for a three-year term of office, which is renewable. These are unpaid, honorary positions. For further information, see the website www.gov.je/employmentforum.
