The deadline for filing 2019 company tax returns is fast approaching and it’s important to remember that you may need to set aside more time to complete the form this year.
The updated form has additional questions and from this year you will also need to upload your financial statement before submitting the form. The Taxes Office Online Service won’t let you submit your return without your financial statement being included. Tax return guidance is available here.
The deadline for returns is midnight on 31 December 2020 and a late filing penalty of £300 will be charged if returns miss this date. Additional penalties, up to a maximum of £900, will also be charged if returns aren’t submitted three months after the December deadline.
